What is the purpose
of our work?

Respectfully present to our community the photojournalism documenting the suffering of animals hidden from society’s view.

Have trust that when individuals regularly come face to face with their unintentional connection to animal cruelty, they will seek changes to their ways in order to extend their circle of compassion to include all living beings.

Why are we doing this work?

We trust in humankind to change their actions so as to not intentionally contribute to the suffering of others.

Animal suffering is often concealed away from humanity's sight. Bringing to light animal suffering enables humans to choose compassionate alternatives.

What is the significance of a sea-change for animals?

Sea-change is an expression denoting a substantial change in perspective, especially one that affects a group or society at large, on a particular issue.[1]

Urging a sea-change in society's awareness about animal suffering in the U.S. is urgently needed.

Why is transformative societal change needed?

  • "In polling, 94% of Americans agree that animals raised for food deserve to live free from abuse and cruelty."

  • Yet the majority of the nearly 10 billion land-based animals, plus countless more aquatic animals, farmed for food each year in the U.S. are suffering on factory farms."

  • “Nearly all animals farmed in the U.S. (99 percent) are raised on factory farms.” *

  • “Factory farm” is a term describing an “industrial facility that raises large numbers of farm animals such as pigs, chickens or cows in intensive confinement where their movements are extremely inhibited.“ *†

How is this sea-change achieved?

Bearing witness by sharing, showing and seeing this often concealed animal suffering is the seed of change.

Working as a group we plant the seed for change by sharing these images with community members through exhibits, educational outreach and advocacy.
